Job Title: Part-Time Director of Marketing & Communications

Job Description: The Part Time Director of Marketing & Communications is responsible for developing, creating and implementing the marketing plan, managing the website and communication channels, and overseeing all aspects of the social media presence. This is a part-time, remote position requiring 10-20 hours a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Articulate the mission, vision and values and serve as a representative of this ministry in all instances, in both word and deed. Represent Caroline Furnace at events and online.

  • Collaborate and communicate with staff, board of directors, committees, vendors, and volunteers.

  • Manage marketing and communications, to include the website, email updates, social media, direct mailings, Annual Report, and creation of additional marketing materials for publication.

  • Build strong relationships with congregations, synods, schools, community groups, and other area camps, retreat centers, and nonprofits through communication channels..

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience in communications and marketing preferred but not required

  • Experience in outdoor ministry, summer camps, and/or conference and retreat centers preferred but not required

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

  • Excellent oral and written communication

  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office

  • Proficiency or willingness to learn Adobe Creative Suite, Wix, Square, MailChimp, and CampBrain (CRM)

  • Stable internet and phone connection from remote office location

  • Flexible work schedule

  • We are a Lutheran Outdoor Ministry (ELCA) and expect staff to uphold and model our mission and values
