John 6:35 Takes Me Home

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35 brings me home to my new surroundings, where I look forward to experiencing God's sustenance with others in many ways. Sometimes we forget that concrete, tangible food is not the only form of sustenance. Certainly, we rely on a varied balanced diet for nutrition and energy. What might surprise us is we receive so much more in this amazing place.

Here, we are spiritually fed with God's word through scripture study, songs, and daily activities. We connect with young creek adventurers and those young-at-heart that come to volunteer or reunite with dear friends. On our Caroline Furnace journey, our faith deepens when we gather in fellowship and worship. We are transformed as we drink in sunrises at Duncan Knob or are washed clean in a summer rain shower. Our souls and spirits are restored and renewed. We depart satiated so that we may praise God's name in thought, word and deed.
