This year our theme is JUST for LIFE!
Our theme verse comes from the book of Amos 5:24
"Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream."
| The 50th year Capital Appeal construction is in full swing. The Upper Room and Bath House are scheduled for substantial completion by June 15, the first day of camp. Obtaining favorable loan terms and an extended construction permit time impacted our start. The major construction exterior activity will be completed and the contiguous camp site areas restored for both buildings by the start of camp on June 15th. The grand opening for the new buildings pending the interiors finishing and operational commissioning. The exciting new buildings work which will not impact the start of the 2008 camping season. |
A typical week at camp begins on Sunday afternoon with registration and finishes on Friday with a Closing Campfire. All families are encouraged to attend the closing where we tell stories from the week, sing songs and have awards.
Each day begins with breakfast and praise break followed by worship. Each morning there are a selection of activities that each cabin group can choose from together. The choices include crafts, recreation, cabin time, games, hikes, nature activities, creekwalking, etc. There is time for Bible Study before lunch, each day has it's own theme and bible story.
After lunch is another selection of activities, this time each individual can choose. The afternoon will include "cool" activities like swimming, boating, inside crafts and creek activities. Evenings we have time for showers, dinner, night games, campfires, songfests and skits. Cabin quiet time is 10pm to re-energize for another day.
Staff
Our college-aged counselors are chosen based on their Christian faith and their desire to have fun. They are carefully selected and specially trained to ensure a safe, meaningful and unforgetable experience for the campers.

Stay in touch!
Visitors are not permitted during camp session; however, mail and email are encouraged (4campers@carolinefurnace.org). Helping to overcome homesickness is part of our staff's training; but in difficult cases, we are in touch with parents.
The emails are collected each day before lunch, so you can send a message in the morning and your camper will hear from you at lunch.

Upon registration each camper will receive a health history form that must be completed to attend camp.
